Sean had two weeks of "baby bonding" time to use from work, so being the crazy people we are we thought ROAD TRIP. We packed our three month old baby and dog in the car and set off. Okay, it wasn't quite that easy..it took massive amounts of planning and packing then we set off!
We first drove to Utah to see our families for five days or so. We were there for the Fourth of July. Ana got to wear her cute new outfit made especially for the occasion by her Nana. Ana also went to her first parade. She wasn't to impressed and slept through the whole thing. We really enjoyed spending time with our families.
Our next stop was California. We spent an afternoon at the beach with our friends the Blazers. We dipped Ana's feet in the ocean. She wasn't to sure what to think about that! Too cold I guess!
Then headed to Pasadena to spend time with Lindsay and Danny. Thanks you guys for having us we had a great time!
Ana's Great Grandpa Keith lives in CA. Ana is his first great grandchild. It was fun to have them meet for the first time.
Then we set off to the Redwood Forest. We spent an day at the Avenue of the Giants. It was amazing.! We drove through a tree and went on a few short hikes.
Ana was a trooper during the vacation! We did a lot of our driving at night so she could sleep.

Good for you for doing more than just visit family during your time off.
Also, thanks for talking to my friend about your job.
We were so glad we could see you on part of your road trip. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. I love the redwoods.
